God Glow Morning: Starting My Day Barefoot With Heaven

Every glow-up routine needs a foundation. Mine doesn’t begin with skincare or workouts. Honestly? It begins with coffee. But the real shift comes when I step barefoot into God’s presence.

Most mornings, it goes like this: I sip my coffee, gather myself, then step outside barefoot on the grass. Arms up, sky above me, earth under me, and His presence all around me.

That’s when the words come, like this morning when I found myself saying:

“Thank You, Lord, for the high winds that remove dead branches and make room for new growth. Thank You for the rains that water our gardens so they can flourish. Thank You for the storms that jolt us awake, and thank You for the calm days when we can rest in You. Thank You for the clear skies and the clouds that carry life-giving water. God, I love You. I thank You. Please keep walking with me.”

It’s not scripted. I just pray from my heart speaking. I pray depending on what is in my mind and my heart at that time knowing well and truly that god knows what I need before I even say the words, but enjoying the moment of bringing it to him. That’s the God Glow.

Even if the house is chaos, even if the laundry’s waiting, this resets me. It shifts me from frazzled to peaceful, from tired to glowing. Coffee wakes me up — but God fills me up with all the holy fuel I need. This is where the real shift happens.

Your God Glow might look different — maybe worship music, journaling, or praying in the car. But I promise, if you give Him a few moments each morning, it will change the whole way your day unfolds.

Because the real glow-up doesn’t start in Sephora. It starts with the Savior. ✨
